All orders placed directly from the Strip To It web site are processed by PayPal.

With the industry's most-advanced encryption, fraud prevention, and Buyer and Seller Protection Policies, PayPal is dedicated to keeping your account safe and secure.

Click here for more information on online ordering security direct from the PayPal site.

Our own online order system encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Our site only asks for your address information for billing and shipping, and passes that information to the PayPal payment processing system using the same 128 bit encrypted SSL connection. Only PayPal sees your credit card or checking account information. The only information we see is whether or not the transaction was successful and your e-mail and physical address information so that we may ship the products to you as well as let you know the status of your order.

The Strip To It products are sold on many other web sites as well.  Check out the order page for links to other sites that sell our products.

How long does it take for the Strip To It products to arrive?

We ship most orders within 1 business day. All orders within the United States are now shipped via USPS Priority Mail, and we cover the shipping costs.  USPS Priority Mail in the USA will usually get to you in 2 to 3 mail days.

International orders are shipped via USPS Global Priority Mail for a small additional shipping fee.  International shipping times vary by destination, and may sometimes get held up at customs.  Sometimes it can take as little as 2 days, but usually takes 5 to 6 days, and sometimes longer.

Digital Download Questions

How does the digital download system work?

When you order digital downloads from our online store, and make a successful payment through PayPal, our store software will automatically send you an e-mail with a link to the download area, along with your unique user name and password.  Once you log in to the download area, you'll see buttons for each downloadable product your ordered.  Simply click on those buttons to being each download, and, if prompted, choose the "save to disk" option and pick a location on your computer's hard drive to save your files.

How long does it take to get the downloads?

You should receive the e-mail from the store software within a few minutes after you successfully make payment through PayPal and click on the "continue" button to return to our site.  In some cases it can take up to 15 minutes to receive the e-mail if site traffic is high.

What happens if I don't get the download e-mail?

If it's been at least 15 minutes since your order was successfully completed, and you still haven't received the e-mail from our store software with your download information, please check your spam or junk mail folders to see if the e-mail got routed there by mistake.  Please be sure to add info@striptoit.com to your allowed sender list to make sure the e-mail gets through to your IN box.  If the e-mail is not in your spam or junk mail folder, please contact us via e-mail at info@striptoit.com to let us know, and be sure to give us your name, order number, and correct e-mail address, and we will reactivate your downloads and resend the e-mail.  Please be aware that we are a small company, and do not have 24 hour tech support, so it may take several hours to respond (depending on when you e-mail us... it may also only take a few minutes).  Rest assured, though, that we will work with you to ensure that you receive your downloads as quickly as possible.

How long do I have to download the products?  What happens if the download fails?

You have up to 48 hours, and up to three download attempts for each digital product you order.  This is more than enough time and more than enough attempts for most people to successfully download their products.  After 48 hours, or three download attempts (whichever comes first), the downloads are deactivated to prevent the sharing, or posting, of download information.  If for any reason, you are not able to retrieve your downloads within those limits, simply contact us at info@striptoit.com and we will reactivate your order, giving you another 48 hours and three download attempts.

Do I "own" the downloads?  Can I resell them when I'm through with them?

In a word, NO.  Unlike physical products, you do NOT own the digital downloads, and you may NOT resell them or distribute them in ANY way.  When you purchase a digital download, you are purchasing a single-user license for that music or video "software" that allows you to use it for any reasonable personal use, and make any copies needed for your own personal use.  This license is non-transferable.  Before you are allowed to checkout from our online store, you will be presented with the license agreement, which you must agree to before you can proceed.  Please support our dancers and musicians by not sharing the files and encouraging your friends and family to buy their own copies!

Are the files copy protected or locked to one machine?

Unlike other download stores, we do not use digital rights management on our downloads.  This allows you to freely make as many copies as you need for your own personal use, or transfer the files to any of your own personal devices, without any of the copy protection hassles.  We trust our customers to do the right thing by not sharing the files with friends or family, and not distributing them in any fashion via the internet or other means.  We won't try to cripple the files with copy protection schemes, but we will prosecute any violations of our license agreement to the fullest extent of the law.  Please support our dancers and musicians by not sharing the files and encouraging your friends and family to buy their own copies!

What format are the files in?

Music downloads are sold as 192 Kbps, Stereo, MP3 files.  This is a much higher quality than most other sites that sell downloads (most sites sell 128 Kbps MP3 files).  The preview files for each song are shorter clips, and are at the lower 128 Kbps setting to reduce the file size and download time.

Video downloads are sold as either VCD compliant MPEG-1 files, or SVCD compliant MPEG-2 files, in NTSC format.  These files can be played on any computer that has a media player capable of playing MPEG movies (pretty much every computer sold within the last 5 years).  In addition, if you have the proper software, and a compatible DVD player, you can burn these files onto a cheap CD-R and play them on your TV with your regular DVD player.  Please note that these files are NOT DVD quality.  DVD quality files would be far too big to download in a reasonable amount of time, and we would have to charge more to cover the additional server storage and bandwidth fees.  The VCD format is the smallest file size, and produces video roughly equivalent to VHS tapes.  The SVCD format is about twice the file size of the VCD files, and gets much closer to DVD quality, but you may still see compression artifacts and slightly degraded quality compared to the full DVD quality.  SVCD video clips will also be twice as large, in viewing size, when played back on your computer, than VCD video clips.

Why are the video clips small on my computer screen?
Why do the video clips not look as good in full screen mode?

If you play back the video clips at "normal", or 100%, size on your computer, they may seem small compared to the overall size of your computer screen.  Also, if you play the clips in full screen mode, or otherwise stretch the video clips to larger sizes, the video won't look so good.  This is because of several factors.  First, most computers these days have much higher resolution screens that your standard television set, and many computer screens are still higher resolution than even High Definition (HD) television sets.  The "standard" resolution for regular DVDs in North America is 720x480.  About the smallest computer screen resolution you'll find these days is 800x600, but even those are hard to find on modern machines or monitors.  A more common screen size these days is at least 1024x768.  So, even standard DVDs don't fill up the entire computer screen when shown at their normal resolution.  When stretched to bigger computer screen sizes, even the best DVD video can start showing the artifacts of MPEG compression.  In order to keep our video clip download sizes reasonable, we encoded them in VCD and SVCD format.  VCD format is only 320x240, which will look fairly small on most computer screens.  SVCD is quite at bit better resolution at 480x480, but still not as good as DVD, and still fairly small compared to most computer screens.  However, if your create a VCD or SVCD from the files and play them on a DVD player through a regular TV, they will fill up the entire screen, and the compression artifacts will be MUCH less noticeable (unless you have a really nice HDTV).

How can I play the downloaded video files on my DVD player?

The MPEG video files available in our download store are sold as either VCD or SVCD compliant MPEG files.  While these will play just fine on just about any computer, you may wish to view them on your TV using your DVD player.  VCD and SVCD (Video CD and Super Video CD) are special video formats designed to be burned onto inexpensive CD-R discs, and then played in any modern DVD player that supports recordable media and the VCD or SVCD format.  In order to create a VCD or SVCD, you'll need special software.  We HIGHLY recommend Nero Burning ROM !  Nero is a very easy to use program that will allow you to create VCD or SVCD format CD-R discs from the MPEG files you download.

Strip To It - Technical Questions

The following question apply to the Original Strip To It enhanced CD

How do I access the instructional material on the original Strip To It CD?

Strip To It is an Enhanced CD-Extra, which is just a fancy way of saying that it is a regular audio CD with an extra data track that can be accessed by your computer.

To access the instructional multimedia content on the Strip To It disc, all you need is a computer with a CD-ROM drive, a web browser, and a movie player capable of playing MPEG movies. Most modern PC computers come already installed with everything you need. In fact, if you are able to browse this web site and can view the video clip on the samples page, then you already have everything you need.

Once you place the disc in your computer's CD-ROM drive, the instructional multimedia content will automatically start if you are using a PC where the Autorun feature has not been disabled (you have to manually disable it, so it should start automatically on most computers). If it doesn't start automatically, all you need to do is to find the contents of the CD-ROM using "My Computer" or Windows Explorer (on Windows machines) and then double-click on the "start.html" file.

Will the original Strip To It CD work on a Macintosh computer?

Strip To It was designed for modern computers. Although Macs have everything needed to access the multimedia features of Strip To It, some Macs may not recognize the data session and will only see the audio tracks. In particular, Macs running OS9 will not see the multimedia data session. Strip To It has been tested to work fine on Macs with OSX and later. If you have a Mac computer that cannot access the instructional material, just contact us and we will send you a link where you can immediately access all the content online, or we will send you a separate CD-ROM containing just the instructional material that should work on your Mac, at no charge to you.

Please note that you can still play the audio tracks on Strip To It in your Mac as well as in any audio CD player.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to play the music tracks on my computer, is there something wrong?

There is nothing wrong with your computer or your Strip To It CD. The CD-Extra format is set up in such a way that when you place the CD into your computer, your computer sees the data session first and recognizes the disc as a CD-ROM. It will thus start the Strip To It interactive multimedia program instead of playing the audio CD tracks.

The best way to play the music on the Strip To It CD is to use a regular CD audio player. However, you can still play the audio tracks from your computer. You can either launch a stand alone CD player application on your computer, which will then recognize the CD Audio tracks and allow you to play them, or use a more current version of Windows Media Player or other media player such as WinAmp.

Older versions of Windows (Windows 98) come with a CD Player application that can be found under Programs>Accessories>Entertainment.

Newer versions of Windows (XP Home or Professional, or Vista) come with a newer version of Windows Media Player (or you can upgrade your Windows Media Player online) can play audio CD tracks directly through the "Play" menu in the media player.

Can I play the original Strip To It CD in my audio CD player, and will it cause any damage to my system if I do?

Yes, the original Strip To It CD can be played in any audio CD player, and NO it will NOT damage your system in any way. The CD-Extra format is set up with the data track positioned AFTER all of the audio CD tracks in such a way that your audio CD player will NOT even see the data track. There are NO worries about having to skip over a data track, and your audio CD player will never find nor attempt to play the data track.
